A pencil drawing of the Dying Achilles statue (Ancient Greek: Αχιλλεύς θνήσκων), created in Berlin in 1884 by German sculptor Ernst Herter. This statue forms the centrepiece of the Achilleion Gardens located at Achilleion Palace (Greek: Αχίλλειο or Αχίλλειον) in Gastouri (Γαστούρι) on the Island of Corfu. Residence of Empress (Kaiserin) Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sisi. The palace was designed by Italian architect Raffaele Caritto and was built on an area of 200,000 m2.
